Before the clock strikes the next chime.
And the minutes, seconds roll onto another time.
Seize onto this day, this time is yours to stay…
Do, be all that you can Today!!
Filtering out the noise…
So I can move on with more grace and poise.
With a silent prayer and a song in my heart..
Moving onto new avenues, grateful for this day, this new start..
Wishing my heart, my hands and mind can always give.
Onto so many ways to reach out and to live…
As I go forth with hope.
Balancing my time, on a tightrope.
Knowing I have yet to cross the seas.
Of those distant lands, I’ve yet to see.
Living through moments, taking all in.
Walking barefoot through all the din.
Before the clock strikes the next chime.
Let me do, be all I can dream in time.
Onto those depths of what my heart yearns.
Let me work on, opening locks as it turns.

I wrote this poem ‘On moments and Life’ on the 1st Jan’2021 with a hopeful heart and that too after a really long gap in blogging. It took me quite some time to overcome and get back to posting on my blog… I do hope you like my poems and my work here. Thanks for liking and visiting.

‘On moments and life’ – 1st Jan’2021
Life keeps moving on…
From every dusk onto dawn…
Dithering to keep pace.
Standing tall in this race.
This race against time, I now know.
Can’t stay hidden in warped burrows.
Move I must, clean out the dust.
Steadfastly going, lest I crumble and rust.
Trying yet again to catch those sunlight beams.
pushing myself to glimpse of what seems.
A life of what can and could be.
As I trudge on, making my destiny…
A silent prayer and a wish in my heart.
Nudging onto make a headstart.
Sweeping memories and words unspoken.
undying love, moments unbroken..
Of moments to make now and more..
moved beyond words to the core!
Of unshaken, growing love and faith.
Of love and life blending together in faith.

Life keeps moving on…

This race against time, I now know.

And what a year 2020 has been! As I lit the lamp a few hours back with a silent prayer in my heart…Grateful for all those challenging moments, for it taught me to pray more, cherish and accept every moment for what it is and to reach out to all more than ever…Learning more as I moved on.. So many life lessons learnt in these last few months … Wishing and praying that the New Year 2021 ushers in more good health, happiness and prosperity to all my family, friends, students and colleagues & their families and dear ones! Please stay strong and safe and ever blessed!
As I sit in the safety of my car whilst writing (typing) this down, I cannot help but feel grateful to the Almighty divine for all the little mercies and blessings.. I vividly recall how joyfully we all had welcomed the year 2020 and then Covid-19 struck worldwide sending all of humanity onto bended knees! I had imagined 2020, being a leap year would help all of us leap out of all problems without know what was yet in store for all of humanity ahead. I guess slowly we all learned to also accept the reality of working from home, keeping social distancing and staying more indoors with family and not unnecessarily venture out during the lockdown period which started from 13th March’2020 here.
My biggest lessons of 2020 – Firstly, I learned how to multi task more and grapple with time and meet online deadlines whilst keeping my sanity in the physical realm! Learnt that texting & online zoom, webex meetings could also be another big way to communicate rather than meeting up face to face. I did conduct all my classes and lectures Online and learnt how to seek and get more work in the process. And all this while I did a good balancing act managing quality time with my family and friends. I have been always slighty more sensitive by nature and during this time I was able to perceive more and could reach out to people and help them. My better half and my in-laws were very supportive and so also my daughter who started doing her bit on her own. Although I did miss seeing my students in College and some workshops got delayed but I realised that it was for the better of everyone that social distancing be kept up in the Colleges & Schools and Work place and somehow Internet & going Live Online became the new and accepted norm and trend !
Secondly, I became more conscious of my food and diet and have turned vegetarian something I resolve to keep. I tried my level best to take out time for Yoga, Pranayaam and meditation and with the encouragement and support of my well wishing friend I was able to turn around my hectic schedule towards a healthier routine for myself. This helped me keep more focus and energetic through the day. Towards the last week of December’2020, inspired by them I started running and hope to continue and keep up with this healthy routine in the New Year 2021! I started revamping and working on my small garden backyard which is quite rocky and resolve to turn it into a more beautiful place where more birds come and twitter and nest in the coming year, given the nature of the rocky soil.
Thirdly, I grew stronger in faith and practised more and prayed more earnestly than ever for the good health and well-being of my family & friends and their dear ones and for everyone.. I firmly believe that every prayer is really heard and yet sometimes one has to also surrender to God’s will. I understood and felt more empathy for even the smallest and insignificant of creatures.
Last and not the least, I again move on with gratitude, an abiding hope and faith of good times, healthier lives and most importantly living each moment as if it is my last one!! Reaching out yet again with my words and a prayer and a joyful step, reaching out to make and meet my destiny! Resolved and more determined than ever to make 2021 the best year ever yet!

‘Of Fleeting thoughts’ … 1st Oct’2015
Drifting from fleeting thoughts.
Trying to clear those sifting memories.
On a voyage onto the unknown.
Moving on, trying to catch time.
Feeling those moments of days gone by.
Trying to fathom the meaning of unspoken words.
Of eyes that spoke all, yet couldn’t be heard.
Journeying the passages and moments in a bid to catch a glimpse of time.
The time that stands still yet in some corner of my heart.
Whilst I move on trying to make art.
Searching for more meanings in unspoken words.
Knowing well, it was a mirage.
Why does the heart falter and skip a beat ?
Journeying into the depths of the mind.
Is it that we share the same thoughts ?
Are we on the same frame of time ?
Or is this too a passing fleeting thought ?
Where the heart and soul seek the truth that eludes.
Waiting for a sign, a hope, a glimmer of light.
So I can move on with heart, body mind and soul intact.

Leap out with Faith …. 27th Feb’2016
I will leap out with faith, leaving all my problems behind.
Onto new horizons, new frontiers of a different kind.
Today, I will make that final lunge.
With hope and faith, I shall take the plunge.
So unto unknown lands, my soul will fly.
Soaring with the wind,high in the sky.
With a silent prayer in my heart.
Surely, I will get a head start.
I will leap out today.
And be steadfast on my way.
With hope and love burning in my soul.
I will come out unscathed shining whole.
Keeping this fire within me aflame.
I will rise to much glory and fame.
Bowing today with hope and faith.
I will leap out of all my fears.
I will leap out ahead and make my path, my own mark.
I will leap out with faith, leaving all my problems behind…
